Fall has come and since I've been feeling good I've done a couple of days of tasty cooking.
Yesterday I turned a 1/2 bushel box of apples into cinnamon applesauce. I used Jonagold apples so I didn't have to add any sugar. The girls finished off probably a quart and a half of it before it was cooled off enough to package it to freeze.
Today I made a fall specialty: spudnuts with fresh apple cider. I didn't actually make the cider, it came from Allred's barn. But it is GOOD. Tastes like biting a juicy apple. And the spudnuts are just really good. The combination? Divine.
